GRADE’s airy pied-à-terre at 56 Leonard presents a tranquil sanctuary that embodies the cool appeal of downtown Manhattan. Against a sparkling backdrop of NYC panoramas, interiors of this home inside the iconic “Jenga Tower” had to be as captivating as its views. GRADE’s vision combines elements of Scandinavian style with French and Italian mid-century design in an open floor plan to create stylish, defined social spaces that would spark and inspire conversation in the spirit of a members-only social club. Furnishings sourced from around the globe are blended with decoration in a clean arrangement to keep the plan uncluttered and balanced. Forms and curated objects together create an effective mix with rich wood and textured fabrics in grey, white and blue, relating to the surrounding sky and offering a calm respite from the busy streets below.
